Founded in 1948 by siblings Sidney and Jack Adelstein, Finest Food Distribution Co. began as a pickle manufacturing and distribution company. This expansion included outsourcing new products and forging strong relationships with manufacturers and importers of Caribbean goods.

Since 1953, the Finest Food and Jamaican Choice® brands have become icons of quality within the Caribbean, West Indian, Jamaican, African American, and Latino communities, earning widespread recognition and reinforcing Finest Food’s reputation as a market leader.

Today, Finest Food products are a staple in major supermarkets, independent stores, and drug chains throughout the Northeast, supported by a robust Direct Store Delivery (DSD) service and dedicated sales brokers.
